FX BackPack – Ground Fire Vol.3

What is Ground Fire Vol.3?

Ground Fire Vol.3 is a continuation of the grounded fire series—offering 10 new looping VDB simulations that provide another layer of variation and shape diversity for surface fires. These fires are designed to sit naturally on uneven terrain, debris, or props, making them ideal for scene dressing, background elements, or campfire-style effects where a flat fire line doesn’t fit the context.

Like Vol.2, these simulations are 150 frames long and loop cleanly, making them easy to drop into looping scenes or long takes.

What’s Inside:

  • 10 Animated VDB Sequences (density field only)
Each simulation is 150 frames long and optimized for performance. These flat, localized fire simulations are ideal for use on uneven terrain surfaces, debris, or other ground-level props.
  • 2K ProRes MOV Files
Pre-rendered image sequences provided as 2K ProRes 4444 MOVs with alpha channel. Ideal for quick integration in compositing or as image textures in real-time pipelines.
  • Blender Shader Preset
Comes with a unified FXBP_VOLUME shader, replacing the former 8-shader system. This single, versatile material allows easy look adjustments (realistic or stylized) directly inside Blender's Cycles and Eevee.

Why Choose Ground Fire Vol.3?

Natural-Looking Variation
Use these fires for:

  • Light debris burns
  • Uneven ground setups
  • Small-scale ambient fire
  • Extended variety in fire-heavy scenes

Loop-Ready for Flexibility
All simulations are built to loop, perfect for long-duration background FX or real-time sequences.

A Seamless Add-On to Vol.1 & 2
Ground Fire Vol.3 is designed to work alongside previous volumes—providing more options with the same structure and workflow. Great when you need just a little more variety to avoid repetition.

Compatibility

All assets are OpenVDB density-only sequences, compatible with Blender, Houdini, Cinema 4D, and other major tools. Blender shader presets match the FXBP system for easy integration across other packs.
